Energetics is delighted to announce that Bahador Tari has been appointed to our leadership team and the position of General Manager, Strategy. Bahador takes on the role after 4 years in the business and more than 15 years’ experience advising government, industry and business decision-makers on energy strategy, climate risk and sustainability.

Bahador has represented Energetics in Victoria, leading and mentoring a team whose expertise spans strategic insights into Australia’s decarbonisation needs and pathways to net zero, building resilience to the impacts of climate change, and risk management advice for ASX100 companies seeking to achieve renewable energy ambitions through the nation’s transition to clean energy. Bahador has been the key contact co-ordinating our relationships and the delivery of work with large Australian businesses in the banking, mining, telecommunications, and property sectors. He is also a thought leader and adviser on robust approaches to carbon offsetting and Australia’s nascent hydrogen industry where he led Energetics’ work with the Federal Government to support the development of the domestic hydrogen Guarantee of Origin certification scheme.

Bahador now leads Energetics’ national Strategy team - a multi-disciplinary group of scientists, engineers, lawyers, and finance specialists, helping clients respond strategically to the risks, opportunities and business model implications of climate change. Bahador’s focus is on further developing the team’s leading work on the physical and transitional impacts of climate change on business assets, productivity, and profitability, and providing insights into the implications of current and emerging policy settings for clients.

Bahador brings a passion for Australia’s transformation to a climate-resilient, net zero future. He takes over from Dr Peter Holt who we thank for his many years building Energetics’ strategic capabilities and market profile. We wish Peter well for the next stage in his career.

On behalf of Energetics’ Board, other members of the Leadership Team and Energetics’ people across Australia, I congratulate Bahador on his new role. We look forward to the contributions he will make to the direction of our business, the growth of our strategy services, and the development of our talented people.
