With a strong background in environmental management and public policy, Patrick provides insights into solutions that support climate risk management. Based in Melbourne in the Strategy and Governance team, his role primarily involves identifying risks and climate drivers, drawing on these to develop modelling approaches for mapping climate related risk. He does this through the application of scientific knowledge, coupled with understanding of complex systems, such as global supply chains or utility networks, to identify critical linkages. Patrick has also built understanding of energy market operations including demand response to support clients in considering the implications of upcoming policy changes in the sector. Prior to joining Energetics, Patrick worked as a research assistant for the Vietnamese and Australian governments, where he honed his strong research, critical thinking, and communication skills. He is a master’s graduate in the environmental management domain with published transdisciplinary research experience and holds an undergraduate qualification in interdisciplinary sustainability.
