Determining the material impact of climate risk

Energetics is proud to partner with the Governance Institute of Australia in a series of seminars discussing the drivers and frameworks needed for the management of business risks arising from the changing climate.

Regulators around the world are urging companies to assess and report on the material impact of climate-risk on their short and long term value. The release of the recommendations of the Financial Stability Board’s Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) has shone a global spotlight on the issues, while in Australia, ASIC and APRA have led the calls for proactive, probative and consistent climate risk disclosure.

Energetics' Dr Peter Holt is presenting on "Frameworks for climate-related financial reporting and disclosure". A panel will be run discussing the topic "Climate risk and the emerging regulatory imperatives" and will include IFM's Chris Newton, Executive Director, Responsible Investment and Francesca Lee, General Counsel and Company Secretary, Newcrest.
