Webinar: Key emerging trends in climate risks and how to respond

Date: Wednesday 21 October 2020 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm (AEDT)

In October Clyde & Co in collaboration with Energetics hosted the "Key emerging trends in climate risks and how to respond" webinar. In this hour-long webinar, our experts discussed latest developments in the assessment and disclosure of climate risks.

Energetics provided insights into our survey of more than 50 Australian and New Zealand investors from 22 organisations with more than $1.1 trillion in collective funds under management. Conducted for the Investor Group on Climate Change, the findings show investors’ satisfaction with climate risk disclosures and where improvements need to be made. We also explored the implications of the newly released Carbon Measurement Standards Initiative. Dr Nick Wood shared his insights on how businesses can engage with science to understand the emerging physical impacts of our changing climate.

Clyde & Co’s climate-related and environmental risk partner, Jacinta Studdert looked at legal risk and developments that businesses need to know when considering implementation of the TCFD recommendations. Jacinta also provided practical implications on how to address and manage the key climate risks faced by companies across multiple sectors.

For anyone who was unable to attend the webinar the recorded video and presentation slides have been uploaded.
