We provide our clients with solutions that are integrated with business management systems and synergistic with your business.
Energetics works with you in understanding how your core business relates to water. High social capital revolves around water use and unsustainable water management practices are a risk to brand reputation. Identifying gaps within current practices and envisioning future market position provides direction for implementing sustainable water practices.
Energetics positions your business to proactively engage with water issues through policy, strategy and management systems development and the implementation of group-wide water improvement programs.
Building Capacity through Program Design, Benchmarking & Using Tools
Sustainable water management solutions rely on building capacity within your business. Energetics can assist in program design and implementation. We have developed specialised tools based on a continuous improvement approach to ensure your business is able advance their water management.
Energetics is proud of our involvement with Sydney Water’s award winning Every Drop Counts program. We worked in partnership with Sydney Water to develop a Stockholm Award and Banksia Award winning program. This is supported by Energetics' One-2-Five® diagnostic tool that provides critical actions for business customers. Our clients include Brisbane Water, Water Corporation (WA), Western Water and South East Water.
Understanding Water Government Policy
Energetics works throughout Australia and understands the different regulatory environments. We advise our clients across Australia on government water policy and the impact for their business. We have worked with several government organisations to provide advice and assistance in relation to the establishment of programs and regulatory measures.
Site Specific Strategies Reduce Business Risk and Support Growth
We work from an understanding of the aquatic ecosystem to develop site-specific strategies. Integrated water cycle management (IWCM) and water sensitive urban design (WSUD) provide practical approaches. Beyond simply compliance, this approach reduces business risk and provides a stable position for your future growth. Services offered include:
• Non-structural responses;
• Demand management measures;
• Alternative water source availability including rainwater, stormwater, recycled water, desalinated water; and
• Appropriate technology selection for stormwater, wastewater and water treatment.
To manage a business’ water system, risk management is essential. Incorporation of alternative water sources increases the number of individual components. Risk management from a human and environmental health perspective are critical to ensure the ongoing safe and successful implementation of a water strategy. Energetics employs risk management during strategy development and regulatory compliance stages. Our team utilises tools including quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA) and environmental risk assessment to assist clients in developing and managing their water strategies.
Baseline Development and Reporting
Baseline development underpins knowledge of water usage. Energetics provides water auditing services that create an understanding of how your business uses and interacts with water. Energetics assists you with mandatory reporting programs including:
• Victoria’s WaterMAPTM
• NSW DEUS Water Savings Action Plans (WSAP); and
• Queensland Water Efficiency Management Plans (WEMP).
Compliance schemes like Victoria’s Environment and Resource Efficiency Plans (EREP) provide an opportunity for improved business efficiencies and identification of market advantages. We will work with you to ensure you meet government compliance and identify business improvement opportunities.
Implementation and Continuous Improvement
Energetics assists clients to develop successful continuous improvement programs by conducting in-depth reviews to establish critical actions for improvement, setting realistic targets, identifying and prioritising actions, monitoring performance and reporting on progress.
