Value Offered by Energetics' Team

Since 1995 Energetics has boasted a dedicated and full time SEP team that focuses on energy markets. The team has assisted a large number of sites to secure competitive energy contracts and continues to work with clients to track and monitor pool, contract and forward market pricing across all sites within a client's portfolio. We understand and navigate regulations, market conditions, pricing models and all other related energy market issues to effectively deliver our clients the best possible long term outcomes, leaving them to focus on the objectives of their core business.

Professional Fee Structure

Energetics agreed fee structure is set based on hourly rates against all work completed. Our position in the market is independent and as such we do not obtain any fees from any market participant, nor do we charge a percentage of the savings achieved throughout a project.

Independent and Ethical

Due to our independent status in the market, Energetics maintains excellent relationships with all key players in the energy industry including; retailers, regulators and local network service providers. This ensures that we are able to discuss and resolve client's challenges in the most effective and well-informed manner, encouraging client and retailer partnerships and the maximum transfer of knowledge to clients. All information passed through the Energetics' team remains confidential and our proven processes are well documented and auditable.

Risk Minimisation

Energetics helps clients to minimise the risks that are associated with energy supply contracts and the overall market, for example, exposure to default rates, exposure to VoLL and force majeure events. The team will ensure at all times that you understand the most effective way to proceed in order to protect your business interests.

Strategic Advice and Market Research

Many of our clients have and continue to experience the benefits from utilising our extensive market knowledge and expertise to gain a better understanding of related issues such as; future energy prices, market dynamics and the best time to negotiate a new energy contract. The application of our in-depth market knowledge to our client's individual circumstances ensures the development of individualised purchasing strategies. When analysing information on behalf of clients, Energetics has access to a wide range of data sources that are routinely subscribed to. Energetics is able to thoroughly analyse this information in order to prepare reports on any aspect of the energy market.

Contract Negotiation and Tendering

Energetics has developed a transparent purchasing methodology within the deregulated energy market that provides clear and successful results that address the client's long term strategies. When negotiating contracts, all licensed energy retailers are invited to submit a proposal with the client giving final approval of all 'request for proposal' documents prior to their release into the market. Once all contract bids have been received, they are circulated to the client, giving them the opportunity to meet and negotiate further with the retailers if desired. On behalf of our clients, we are able to negotiate energy contracts with suppliers of electricity, natural gas and LPG to ensure clients secure the most competitive price.

Benchmarking

Energetics supports client's energy procurement objectives across multi-sites, enabling our team to both verify that existing contracts are performing to expectations and to compare energy costs on a site-by-site basis through our benchmarking service. Energetics has helped many clients to identify potential energy and cost saving opportunities such as better tariffs or billing errors and to develop a complete greenhouse inventory through benchmarking.

Environmental Markets

An emerging aspect of energy procurement is the increasing cost of environmental products and mandatory charges. Renewable Energy Certificates, NGACs and GECs are all charged through to end users on their electricity accounts. Few customers realise that they have the opportunity to negotiate these charges at variable rates from different retailers. In addition, many of Energetics' clients have experienced significant savings by separating their GreenPower purchase from their retail electricity contract. Energetics works with a number of clients to help them minimise the impact of these mandatory environmental charges and to help clients purchasing GreenPower to procure it at the optimum price.
