• Define any climate or systemic risks that may impact on business.

Energetics has facilitated workshops for clients to assist them in the development of policy priorities. Our team has also helped clients identify opportunities that have saved money and mitigated risk, including:
• Footprint reduction activities;

Get the best price for your offsets: Energetics accreditation services

Energetics uses approved abatement accreditation methodologies that are externally validated and approved by appropriate authorities. We have assisted many clients to develop a methodology for calculating and verifying abatements.

The correct verification is important, as it can help an organisation to achieve the best price for their offsets. Energetics holds membership to the audit panels for the Greenhouse FriendlyTM program and the Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme. We also have strong experience in preparing Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project documentation for clients; including Project Idea Notes (PIN) and Project Design Documents (PDD).

Achieve cost savings and go carbon neutral

Energetics has helped many clients manage their carbon neutral process and achieve cost savings and increased environmental benefits. Our proven approach applies the four steps of the ‘Carbon Neutral Hierarchy’.

Step One: Measuring Lifecycle Emissions
Energetics manages client’s greenhouse gas emission measurement and reporting requirements to international standards. We have assisted a range of clients, including the Sunrise Program, Qantas and Goldman Sachs JBWere to achieve successful Greenhouse FriendlyTM carbon neutral status.

Step Two: Assessing Opportunities for Reductions
Energetics has assisted the Australian business community to reduce their emissions and energy costs for over 20 years through cost-effective energy efficiency improvements. We employ a skilled team of energy auditors, energy management experts and Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR) assessors.

Step Three: Purchasing Renewable Energy or GreenPowerTM
Energetics has worked with many clients to outline the feasibility and costs of sourcing renewable energy technologies. We provide our clients with strategies to consider the use of renewable energy through methods including installing renewable energy technologies on-site, and purchasing GreenPowerTM or similar products.

Step Four: Purchasing Carbon Offsets
As Australia’s leading expert consultancy in the area of carbon markets, we have assisted many clients to determine the most appropriate and well-priced source of carbon offsets. With a range of offsets available from Australian and International schemes, we provide clients with assistance to offset their remaining emissions.

Review of emissions inventory

Once an organisations energy savings projects are underway, their energy costs and carbon emissions will drop. Energetics also helps clients to review and update their emissions inventory and look for their next energy savings opportunities to continue reducing costs and increasing environmental benefits.

Energetics Submission - Garnaut Review Emissions Trading Scheme Discussion Paper (05/2008)

Energetics has been a keen participant in policy discussions about the solutions to climate change for over 20 years. We thank the Garnaut Climate Change Review for the opportunity to comment on its Emissions Trading Discussion Paper. Our paper notes that Energetics is of the view that the Government must introduce significant new energy efficiency measures with the same level of priority as the new ETS system, and recommends a number of new initiatives.
