National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS)
Energetics’ NABERS accredited consultants conduct assessments for existing offices, hotels and shopping centres to measure and rate the actual environmental performance of the building and establish further targets.
How do you compare to your neighbours?
The NABERS scheme is a performance-based rating system for existing buildings, measuring their operational impact on the environment in a number of categories. Performance is measured in a star rating between 1-6: 6 representing market leading performance.
NABERS ratings are available for energy, water, indoor environment and waste depending upon the type of facility being rated.
NABERS is administered and managed nationally by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) and is set to expand to schools, hospital and transport in the near future.
Why conduct a NABERS assessment?
- While NABERS is largely voluntary, the Commercial Building Disclosure requires sellers or lessors of office space of 2,000 square metres or more to obtain and disclose a current Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC)
