Jon is arguably Australia’s foremost expert on energy efficiency.  His work to improve resource efficiency and protect the environment began over 30 years ago and saw the founding of Energetics.

Energetics’ would like to congratulate all award recipients, in particular:

John Valastro, Head of Environment, Resilience and Workplace Transformation at Qantas who won the Corporate Sustainability Award.

Melanie Slade of the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism (DRET)who is the Director (lighting and equipment energy efficiency), recognised as a WME Leader in energy and carbon.

Olivia Tyler, Group Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of Treasury Wine Estates won for Corporate Sustainability.

Gabris Simonian, Managing Director of Weston Aluminium, who won in the Resources and Waste category.

Romilly Madew, Chief Executive of the Green Building Council of Australia who won for the "X Factor"!

Graham Bryant, National Environment Manager, Simplot who was a finalist in the energy and carbon category.

We look forward to following the work of these leaders over the coming years as we grapple with challenges of reducing our nation’s greenhouse gas emissions and dramatically improving our energy productivity.
