On 9 October 2013, Jonathan Jutsen spoke to Ticky Fullerton on The Business ABC News about Australia’s energy outlook.

He explains that because of low energy costs in the past, Australia hasn’t invested heavily in energy efficiency causing high energy costs and poor energy productivity. “We’ve gone from having a competitive advance in energy, to a competitive disadvantage by the time we get to 2015 – 2016”.

To get back our competitive advantage, Jon says it’s important for Australia to double its energy productivity by 2030 which this aligns with the national productivity agenda.
