Energetics Wins AIE 'Excellence in Energy' Award

On 6 December 2005, Energetics was one of 4 winners to be awarded the Australian Institute of Energy (AIE) 'Excellence in Energy' Award. Energetics received the 'Doing More with Less' category award for facilitating major greenhouse abatement in government and industry.

The AIE Excellence in Energy Awards aim to recognise and reward individuals and organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to the energy sector in NSW and/or the ACT across four award categories:

  • Doing More with Less
  • Energy in Society
  • Innovation in Energy Science & Engineering
  • Young Achiever

The award applications were assessed by an independent panel of judges with a cross section of energy interests and experience on each of the criteria listed below:

  • Benefits to the community, including education and raising awareness of energy issues;
  • Innovation, as demonstrated by new products, processes and programs;
  • Efficient energy use in any sector;
  • Economic and environmental performance;
  • The human and natural environment, including the built environment.
  • With 9 finalists across the 4 categories, 4 winners were announced on the evening.
