Client wins 'CCP Initiative of the Month' Award

Energetics would like to congratulate Redland Shire Council for receiving the ICLEI CCP Initiative of the Month Award for their achievements to date in the eco-efficiency pilot program - ecoBiz.

7 Queensland businesses are participating in the ecoBiz pilot program, aimed at reducing water and energy consumption, and, waste stream production. Attending the launch event in November 2004, was the Minister for Energy, John Mickel, Redland Shire Council Mayor, Don Seccombe and Member for Redlands, John English.

Redland Mayor Don Seccombe said, "The program will have positive outcomes for the Council, by helping us to meet our requirements under the Local Greenhouse Action Plan (Cities for Climate Protection - CCPTM program)."

Redland Council has employed Energetics to provide consultancy support throughout the project, due for completion in June 2005. Energetics has helped the Council to develop the program methodology, for which Energetics' diagnostic tool 'Eco Achiever' as an integral part of the programs success."
