Martin Cousins of Energetics will be competing in the 2005 World Solar Cycle Challenge.

The annual event runs from 23rd September to 2nd October and travels for 1500km through South Australia, starting in Ceduna and finishing in Adelaide. All vehicles in the event are pedal powered with solar assistance. Over 500 competitors, solar power enthusiasts, school and university teams are expected to participate in this event with teams coming from all over Australia and the world to compete.


As a unique sport, solar cycle racing significantly contributes to the advancement of engineering, aerodynamic design and the use of renewable energy for our future transportation. To support this important event, Energetics has made a financial contribution to the team towards the associated research and development costs of the vehicle.
