Leigh is a chemical engineer and highly qualified and experienced energy management professional who leads the delivery of efficiency related work at Energetics. During his time at Energetics, Leigh has successfully assisted clients in scoping and implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, conducting measurement and verification of implemented projects and the development of energy management programs.

Leigh has a senior role in Energetics business as the Efficiency Solution Leader, responsible for technical leadership, profit, quality and service delivery on efficiency related projects across the commercial, industrial and government sectors. As part of this role, Leigh brings a diverse skill set that is able to cut through technical complexity from a detailed site assessment process to bring high level issues to the attention of senior management, resulting in the delivery of positive energy, water and environmental outcomes to clients.

Some of the recent projects that Leigh has been involved in include energy efficiency assessments and project implementation across a wide and diverse portfolio of sites for clients such as Woolworths, Qantas, John Holland, Sydney Water and SA Water; delivery and management of Sydney Water’s Renewable Energy Generation program; measurement and verification (M&V) of a variety of projects in the industrial and commercial space; technical due diligence of solar and biomass related renewable energy projects for ARENA and Low Carbon Australia and other government organisations.

In addition to the above, Leigh leads the M&V practice within Energetics. As part of this role, Leigh is a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional who has been extensively involved as a technical advisor to support the incorporation of M&V into the NSW Energy Savings Scheme, the Industrial Energy and Fuel Efficiency Method under the Commonwealth Emissions Reduction Fund. Leigh has used his expertise and understanding of these schemes to enable a range of clients to access and maximise financial return from projects registered under both of these schemes.
