Energetics announces sponsorship of The Young Energy Professionals Program (05/2008)
Media Release: 2 May 2008. Energetics is pleased to announce its platinum sponsorship of The Young Energy Professionals (YEP) Program in recognition of the importance of the Australian Institute of Energy's younger members to the future of the energy industry.
Through its sponsorship of the Program, Energetics hopes to help young energy professionals forward their career in the climate change sector particularly and assist in the development of future leaders. This is achieved through a range of activities including the encouragement of interest and debate on energy issues and the creation of a platform for continuous learning.
Energetics Managing Director Tony Cooper says "We recognise that a young energy professional may practice in any of the energy sectors - for example electricity, oil or gas. But we are keen to see young engineers and energy professionals increasingly influence and be involved with the environmental issues in particular and see this sponsorship as a forum for engagement and demonstrating our commitment to the future of the environmental industry as we see it".
