July 2008 - Understanding Garnaut and the Green Paper

With the release of the Garnaut Review's draft report and the Government's Green Paper, it is essential for Australian businesses to cut through the policy debate and media spin, and understand the Federal Government's emerging carbon reduction strategies.

Attached is a Client Briefing paper summarising the key design issues in the Green Paper, a comparison with the Garnaut Review’s Draft Report, and commentary to assist in understanding the impacts of the issues raised.

Furthermore, to help you respond efficiently and effectively to this rapidly shifting regulatory environment, the Energetics team can put together a briefing workshop for your business. If you are interested in arranging a workshop please contact either myself or Cheryl Bowler.
