Energetics recommends improvements to the new National Standard on Voluntary Carbon Offsets

Energetics' supports the Federal Government's plans to establish a new National Standard for the voluntary carbon market and recently made a submission to the government's discussion paper on the Standard. We supported many elements of the Government’s proposed National Carbon Offset Standard, however we are concerned that the Standard limits the growth of the market. We also expressed concern that the government may be considering allowing a less than rigorous assessment of emissions for organisations wanting to claim carbon neutrality.Follow the link to view our submission.
