Business briefing opportunity on the Financial Stability Board’s recommendations on climate-related financial disclosures 

2 - 3 February 2017

Energetics, together with the Investor Group on Climate Change, hosted two briefings featuring a presentation from Dr Fiona Wild, BHPB who was an author and member of the FSB’s taskforce. We also ran a panel discussion to consider the implications for business.

The briefing provided an opportunity for businesses to gain insights into the direction financial disclosure for climate-related issues is taking, and helped attendees gain a better understanding of the recommendations, the value to investors and the implications for reporting.

The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) - Future Energy and Finance 

7 November 2016

The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) is Australia’s largest mining conference and includes Mines and Money Australia, the country’s largest mining investment forum.

In recognition of a new era and the projected growth in demand for clean and renewable energy the 2016 IMARC included a one day conference titled 'Future Energy and Finance'.

Energetics' Senior Manager Louis Kent was invited to speak on the topic of 'Investing in energy efficiency is more than just a cost saving'.

XXVIII International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC 2016)

11 - 15 September 2016

XXVIII International Mineral Processing Congress was held in Canada for the second year in a row taking place in Québec. 

Organised by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), this annual confernece provided a platform for metallurgists from all disciplines to exchange insights, experiences and innovative ideas from around the globe.

Energetics' Executive Director and CEEC Board member, Dr Mary Stewart, was a plenary speaker at the conference.  Her topic was 'Energy productivity and the untapped opportunity in minerals processing".

Sustainable Brands 2016 Sydney

27 - 29 June 2016

Sustainable Brands goal is to inspire, engage and draw attention to understanding and leveraging the role of brands in shaping that future. This three day event held in Sydney comprised of 31 seminars which included insights from over 85 world-class faculty of thought leaders and practitioners who demonstrated the many ways that brands can benefit by leading the path to a sustainable future.

Energetics' CEO Tony Cooper was invited to speak at this event in the 'Renewable Energy: A Mainstream View and Disrupter View' session.
